Apple Picks iOS Concept Designer Jan-Michael Cart For Internship

by Adeel Qayum on December 14, 2011

Jan-Michael Cart is a 20 year old mass media art student from Georgia who seems to have become a sensation overnight due to his popular concept videos. Through his imagination Cart has redefined numerous components of iOS such as voice recognition assistant Siri, notification center and application switching.

Jan-Michael has received a lot of admiration from people for his brilliant work. Not only this he had also been predicted to have a shot at being an employee at the apple software company and his recent message on his blog, which he recently added to his personal website, proved the prediction to be true.

Welcome to the new blog section of my website. Soon I will be embarking to California, where I will be interning at a fruit company for seven months. I will be updating this to chronicle my adventures and misadventures in the Bay Area for my family, friends, and followers online. Stay tuned, I leave in less than a month!

It is of no surprise for a company like apple to have picked a talented designer as Jan-Michael to work for them, See this concept video by him of what he labels “Dynamic Icons”:

Moreover, Cart worked with MacRumors earlier this year to bring a video mockup for the voice assistant UI design which is very similar to the one in the iPhone 4S known as Siri:

Even though he is at an internship, the announcement has created a buzz. With Apple showing interest in people like him , it is an indication that it might bring new changes to the iOS very soon. What do you think? Do Let us know!

It’s CONCEPT ART. That means it hasn’t happened yet; it’s just ideas!
