It’s a new day with a new update. As of Tuesday, Apple has released Java Updates for the Mac OS X Lion and Snow Leopard users.

Java for Mac OS X 10.7 Update 1, updates the software to version 1.6.0_29 which offers the Mac OS X Lion users better dependability, protection and compatibility.

Users who the earlier version of Mac OS X installed i.e. Snow Leopard (10.6.8) should look for the Java for Mac OS X 10.6 Update 6. It will also provide you with the similar improvements as of the Mac OS X Lion updates.

The Java update fixes some bug issues related to the security issue. The previous version of Java used to execute codes outside of the Java Sandbox. For further information and details on the update you can visit the Sun’s Website and look for security content.

The software can update can be downloaded via you Software Update installed on both of the Mac operating systems or alternatively you can visit Apple’s Support Downloads website.

The latest update for the Java for Mac OS X 10.6 Update 6 has stopped jDownloader from working now and they cannot figure out why … How can you undo this update and restore the last Java Mac update? Thanks
