Don’t do this! It’s incorrect. No jailbreak for 5.1 on A5 devices at this moment.You either have an iPhone 4 on 5.1 with tethered jailbreak or a 4S with untethered jailbreak on 5.0 or 5.0.1.

Only iOS 5.0.1, no untethered jailbreak for 5.0 at the moment, also impossible to update to 5.0.1 as Apple doesn’t sign it anymore. You have to wait.

go into itunes then hit update under your ipad. It will update to IOS 5.1 but a new update came out that works for 5.1 iphone 4s and ipad 2 i just jailbroke my 4s
