Add Cover Flow Effect To iDevice Dock With OverFlow (Jailbreak Tweak)

by Dillon Shand on January 20, 2012

If you guys are looking for a cool way to spice up your iOS device’s dock, well we have the perfect Cydia tweak for you! Today we bring to you OverFlow which adds a nice effect to your dock. The nice thing about OverFlow is that it is compatible with popular Cydia tweaks such as Infinidock!

As you guys know, when you turn your device to landscape mode while in the Music app, you get a cool Cover Flow effect of your album art. OverFlow takes that idea and uses it in the dock of you device! It adds a very nice effect especially in use with Infinidock which is another Cydia tweak.

Infinidock allows you to add multiple icons to your dock and it lets you scroll through them as you would pages on your springboard. Thanks to the developer of Overflow, he integrated the ability to use Infinidock with his tweak and it adds a wonderful effect. I wouldn’t recommend this tweak without Infinidock so be sure to grab that while you get OverFlow.

To get this tweak, all you have to do is search Cydia for Overflow and you can get this tweak for just $0.99! Since this is a jailbreak tweak available in Cydia, you’ll need to do an untethered jailbreak for your device. You can use our guide posted here to jailbreak iOS 5.0.1 untethered on all A4 devices. Also, don’t forget to check out our recent and popular tweak review called GPower Pro which adds Respring and Reboot options to power off screen!

Here is a video demonstration of Overflow.

I’ve installed it, and it works fine, but the folders are opens and closes a little bit laggy, and i hate that. Any fix?

should be like the iTunes coverflow and allow you scroll to each icon, as it stands now you can’t scroll to the icons on either end of the list of icons.
