Apple To Launch iPhone 5 In US, UK, France, Germany & Japan On October 14 (REPORT)

by Ahmed Omar on September 27, 2011

Japanese website Macotakara publishes a new report which claims that Apple is preparing to launch its long-waited iPhone 5 in the U.S., U.K., France, Germany and Japan on Friday, October 14th.

iPhone 5

The site claims that Apple will most likely launch launch its so-called “iPhone 5″ in those five countries on October 14. That date is most probably very true, here’s why:

First, Apple is holding its iPhone 5 event on October 4th and we’ve learned before that the iPhone 5 launch will be 10 days after the announcement. Second thing is that Apple has blacked out vacation time for retail employees at some locations on October 14 and October 15.

One more thing: Apple’s iPhone 3GS, iPhone 3G and even iPhone 2G went on sale on Fridays.. so the Friday launch isn’t something new.

We also expect Apple to send invites later today for its iPhone 5 event on October 4th since we’re only a week away from the event. Apple most probably send invites 10 days or a week before the event. So keep your eyes opened today!

UPDATE: The above report seems to be very true since TheNextWeb has been told by a very reliable source that the iPhone 5 will launch on October 14:

We have been told by a reliable source that you should expect to be able to line up and purchase your next iPhone on Friday, October 14th. We have been hearing the October 14th date for a while now but have just received additional confirmation.
