Deck – Upcoming Jailbreak Tweak Adds Hotbar To iOS Springboard (Video)

by Rania Abdin on February 28, 2012

Since the A5 untethered jailbreak release last month, many jailbreak tweaks have been developed; some of them are for free in Cydia’s repos and some are not.

Developer SBCoders has created an awesome upcoming jailbreak tweak coming this March to Cydia that allows you add a hotbar to your SpringBoard and allows you to access apps, system functions and more from your home screen. It called “Deck”.

It has 2 lists, the primary functions list and custom functions list; the primary functions list has many shortcuts like power options shortcuts like Reboot, Lock and Respring and a Siri shortcut. It also contains a shortcut to compose SMS or e-mail, or even to compose tweets right from the hotbar. Plus you can load your music list and launch camera from Deck. You also have the option to make your own customized list, add apps shortcuts and much much more.

The video below will show you Deck in action and everything about the tweak:

It’s very simple and easy to use and allows you to control your iPhone easily.

It’s still in beta version and not available for public release yet, it’s only for developers now and will come to cydia store soon, expected this March for $0.99 or $1.99. Once it released will let you know.

Of course as we all know, it requires a jailbroken iOS device running iOS 5 or more.

What do you think about it?

    Simply amazing :)

This is pretty cool but seems a bit redundant. It’s very similar to SBsettings for one and the apps you want to launch are already right in front of you on the springboard already for two. Why add an extra step? I suppose this would be good if you’re in an app and want to launch another but it is redundant if you’re already on the springboard.
