Apple, two days ago, released iOS 5 beta 7 along with iTunes 10.5 beta 7 to developers and earlier yesterday we’ve showed you an exclusive guide to install iOS 5 beta 7 without developer account or registered UDID. In case you got iOS 5 beta 7 on your device, you got some problems and you want to downgrade back to iOS 4.3.5 or iOS 4.3.3, here’s a guide for you.
You may downgrade because of the tethered jailbreak on iOS beta 7 which is untethered on iOS 4.3.3. Since iOS 5 is still in beta releases, it might have some issues so you would like to downgrade.
Downgrade iOS beta 7 to iOS 4.3.5:
STEP 1: Download and install iTunes 10.5 Beta 7 on your Windows or Mac computer.
STEP 2: Download the iOS 4.3.5 IPSW.
STEP 3: Now Put your iPhone, iPad or iPod Touch in DFU mode and you’ll get the Recovery mode message.
STEP 4: Press Shift+Restore (Windows) or Option+Restore (Mac) in iTunes and point iTunes to iOS 4.3.5.
STEP 5: Apple will automatically install iOS 4.3.5 on your iOS device without need to change anything in host file as it’s the latest public firmware.
Downgrade iOS 5 beta 7 to iOS 4.3.3:
You’ll need:
- iOS 4.3.3 firmware IPSW can be found here.
