Here’s some good news for our Facebook fans, Facebook is probably going to launch a major profile redesign at its traditional developer event, known as “f8″, on September 22nd in San Francisco. has been told that the profile redesign will be a major one and “will make Facebook profiles nexuses for consuming content.”
Along with this major profile redesign, the event will include launch of a music and media platform. We’ve learned before that Facebook is highly expected to, finally, release its official , September 22nd.
Facebook may start rolling out the new profile design tomorrow so let us know in case you get it.
Here’s what Mashable quoted about the new profile design:

- The redesigned profiles are part of a larger push into social ecommerce. We don’t exactly know what that means, but we’ve heard whispers that Facebook intends to give Facebook Credits more prominence. We’ve also heard that a Facebook app store may emerge at f8.
- Facebook’s push into ecommerce may be related , an HTML5-based mobile platform rumored to be launching soon.
The event should be a great one and we hope Facebook really announce the much-waited Facebook for iPad official app. We’ll of course cover the most important news about that event so stay tuned!
