Slyk rejailbreak it with redsn0w. Your either on an untethered jailbreak or semi-tethered. regardless rebooting requires you to boot the iPhone with an exploit.

ok guys, i got it working. fallow the steps and you will get it working.

You will have to somehow get it out of recovery mode.. try holding both power and home button till it disappears.. then continue holding till it turns back on. see if it boots then.. If not try Irecovery or download Tinyumbrella to get out of recovery mode thats if u see the Itunes logo on your phone. If you had Shsh installed try using Winscp to remove the files u added then reboot see if that clears it up for you.. If all that does not work then you are out of luck.. you will have to restore and upgrade to latest IOS.. srry mate

Once you’re logged in navigate to Root/System/Library/Caches/com.apple.dyld, you should now see a file named “dyld_shared_cache_armv7“. Either remove it or replace it with the file you have just downloaded and saved on your Desktop. Now do a reboot and try shooting HD video recording.

- Reboot the phone
- Re-enable Siri

Got installed…for those of you who are lost like I was a year ago or so…all this stuff like how to install .deb file and how to jailbreak or anything else…just google it ….all your answers are there.

If you have ifile and a jailbroken device….once you ssh to your device use cyberduck for mac or the windows ssh client and move the .deb file yourself to the download folder on your phone. var/mobile/library/downlads. Open ifile and navigate to the folder, click on it and hit install. Now connecting to the servers you will just have to wait or keep trying. Just look at all the folks posting here and think about all the jailbroken devices in the world, they are flooded and and down for service right now. Give it time. We aren’t suppose to have this anyway.

search google for ssh access to your phone or something like that to save your files or trying to get the phone out of the reboot screen

and next time install semitether from cydia and mobile substrate

just wait they said that they are upgrading the servers

Open up red snow>go to just boot>enter dfu mode even if the apple logo is not changing … worked for me

After entering one source then trying the other with problems locating essential source files for both, I think I will just wait a bit. Or even wait awhile before trying again like other people should too.. they did just release it after all.

Finally got it installed. Went through all my apps (including the camera) and everything is still working great! However, Siri has still not been able to connect to the servers yet. Thanks to the DEV’s for all their hard work.

So i got h1siri to my phone it took about 5 or 6 tries to get the 3g source to work,(you do get a error but don’t worry it will load, just go to the source tap h where alphabets are then download) cydia be never loaded anything.It took about 10min to download and once i was almost done downloading the h1siri timed out and I had to finish the download which took about 2 more min. Once that was done I had to reboot the device. I don’t use semi tethered cause it always gave me problems and I’ve had to restore my device several times so I just do it the old fashioned way plus i keep a charger in pocket. So once i rebooted i opened the lastest redsn0w selected manual ipsw and used iphone 5.0gm ipsw to just boot. Once that was done i started to get errors like usb problem, ipsw not found, or unable to reboot, Once i unplugged my iphone from the laptop and from the phone i finally got the tether to work. So if it doesnt work the first time just keep trying until you get it. Servers still down by the way at 1:25am.

Manually installed mine. Cant connect to the servers but i expected that. I don’t have any problems with FaceTime or my video camera. If you do install it manually make sure your permissions are set correctly.

ok so ive done this way manually, and if you have ios 5.0.1, there is no need to replace the cache, the over 100mb file, because the needed siri files are already in the orginal ipsw, from apple (yes thats interesting) and this provides as a fix for camera and facetime
so if you want to avoid the camera and facetime issue, youll have to do this manually but there’s no connectivity, juts a plain old GUI
installing this at this time probably has bugs and stuff, give them a few weeks and hopefully they’ll get everything sorted

I had to youtube it. Also make sure when you reboot you restart redsnow then add the 5.0 files again before booting, that worked for me at least. Basically every time i use redsnow I open a new one.

FOR EVERYBODY EXPERIENCING PROBLEMS WITH SIRI:
If siri isnt working or playing up, just reboot tethered mode and it should fix most problems, as for not connectig to the servers you have to realise the small servers that the CD Team has made will be experiencing lots of traffic from thousands of iphones trying to connect, we all should be online once they move to a bigger more powerful server in the next few days. WARNING. As this is not mentioned above I thought I would point it out. The way that this Siri port works is for all of the requests that would normally go to apples servers are not going to the developers servers. This can include any amount of data on your device. If you are happy for your private information to be sent to the devs then this is for you, however you have no idea where the servers are, or what law surrounds them. They could use your data for whatever purpose they want.

open your SSH client and go here : System/Library/Caches/com.apple.dyld/
Save the orignial “one dyld_shared_cache_armv7″ and replace it by the one you’ve just downloaded.
Allow this file permission ” 7133 ”
And after that reboot

There is a flaw in the program where if you install it with the old GUI only version of it still installed, it wont work. Only do this after uninstalling the old GUI.

ALL OF YOU WHO WANT TO ENABLE SIRI:

Do not do this if your memory is close to filled. If it is too close to being filled, then whenever you respring, it will take over 2 minutes just to do so. if it is too close to being filled, it will just freeze completely, and you will have to restore and update VIA Itunes, because if you reboot VIA redsn0w, it will still be frozen booting up. That is all.

Siri installed OK. I used the French repo(took 3 tries), the camera fix works fine and all my tweaks are in place. It can’t connect to servers though. Hopefully it will later, after they change the server.

I just installed it myself, and he might be meaning that when you enable Siri, and go anywhere away from the ‘enable Siri’ settings page, it’s immediately disabled again. The option to open Siri and show the mic by holding down the home button still works, but beyond that it doesnt do anything. Opening the ‘enable Siri’ settings page again just shows that its been disabled.

Just confirming, the 2nd source worked after trying to add to repo some 10 times, downloaded which took a while due to the size of the file, loaded, rebooted. It’s there and seems to work, just can’t connect to server. Also the “Video” camera does not record but everything else works. Thanks for the port!! copy the dyld_shared_cache_armv7 to System/Library/Caches/com.apple.dyld/(delete the existing file) and give permissio 7133 with ifunbox or any ssh tool and then reboot that should work mine fine

the server is down until they move to a bigger more stable server, you can still keep trying but there will now be a 1-1000 chance that you will get to use it at the moment as the number of hackers trying to access the server increases, the chance of getting a connection decreases, i expect it to be more stable within the next week.

Randomly! I noticed that it took longer to give me the no connection message and i repeated to try and then it worked!

two quistions:
1.are the keyboards work fine?
2.can i uninstall siri if i want to without to restore?

fully working! i had the camera recording issue but used the instructions and tether rebooted and it was easy as cake!! Obviously my connection to servers stopped almost immediatly but i can confirm this is all legit and works! Just Everybody be patient and i think the ETA for full connection to servers should be within a week or so.

If you download the .deb and install using ifunbox(windows) it’s just a simple drag and drop of the .deb file to the “Cydia Apps installed” category and then rebooting iphone

everything installed nicely for me.just lack of connectio. i think got to wait for another day b4 they move to new servr. when u guys try to instal the siri or repo. make sure ur phone does not go standby mode. installation will fail if the phone goes to standby mode. first time i fail to install cos my phone went to standby mode. second time i stared at my phone make sure it does not goes to sleep and got it work.(no connection)

2. It wont be able to connect yet because the developers are changing the server. Nothing is wrong with it.
3. If you get errors, freezes, stuck on boot – you have to restore and try again.

restoring isnt always the answer, if your phone freezes after trying to respring ect, just reboot tethered, you phone dont need to be turned off at that stage.

Siri refused to turn on in settings… Every time i set it to on nothing happens and i go back to settings just to find that its off….

Use Redsnow, open Extras, and choose “Just Boot.” Follow the instructions. Once it reboots, Cydia will open normally. Do this same thing if you get stuck on the Apple logo, and it doesn’t start. Restoring is unnecessary.

Download the 5.0 firmware file and go to extras in redsn0w and click select IPSW and locate your downloaded file and go back and click just boot.

I have uninstalled Siri and my phone is working….seems to be going a little slow, but video camera is still not working and i still have Siri Dictation on my phone(keyboard) with the little mic, i do not have Siri0us

Installation went smoothly. I went to settings to turn Siri on, did so, and then if I re-open the settings tab, it says it’s off again. If I hold down the home button, the Siri mic shows up but it won’t record… No error messages or anything.

I advice everyone not to install this tweak. It is illegal, sends all your personal data (sms, contacts, emails) to servers to some group call CD-Dev in China!! It doesnt work!!! you can fix the stuck at pineapple problem. plug ur iphone in, hold home and power for ~ 7 seconds until screen turns off, count 3 seconds, and then let go of power but keep holding home for another 15 seconds. you are now in DFU – just boot with redsn0w.

That’s because at the moment SIRI only supports those languages. It’s probably gonna be available for japanese and other languages important to Apple.

I am saying i have had H1siri for 3 days, no connection to servers, no video capture (including facetime). visit reliable forums and gain some knowledge of all the things this port has done to different phones and pods.

depending on your source, and install method, repo or .deb, video fix, conflicting apps such as sir1ous, semitether, disabling siri in settings before removing H1siri all effect wether you will successfully uninstall this port or need a full restore.

what is your ios …?If you are more then 4.3.3 you have to boot tetered …

your iphone is tethered jailbreak, so if you restart your device you will have allways to connect to the computer and do a tethered boot only on the jailbreak tool, like redsn0w and your device will be turn on again, like redsn0w

You may have to connect your iphone to itunes first and use redsn0w to reboot if your iphone has a tethered jailbreak.

If you’ve already installed it then you already have issues with the camera, it’s only video recording that affects it.
Also it doesn’t blacklist you, the only blacklisting that has happened is apparently the people who made this port got their 4S blacklisted

There also is a fix for the camera. I fixed mine. Everything is working great (including Facetime and Camera) except for connecting to Siri servers.

I have a diff problem. Installs fine, but when I go to settings and turn Siri on, it automatically turns it off once I leave that screen. So when I hold to get Siri, nothing happens when I hit the speaker button. Kinda weird considering other people can at least get it to say “can’t connect to server”

I installed this on my iphone 4 running 5.0.1 and I was able to download it and reboot it back up. I tried holding the middle botton down and didn’t get siri so i figured i needed to reinstall it, so i attempted to reinstall this, now when i try to reboot my iphone i see the pineapple and get to the spinning wheel, but it freezes and I’ll hear the noise when you plug your iphone in to charge sound every once in a while and the wheel attempts to spin but then stops. HELP ME PLEASE SOMEONE!

Hey Tino.After installing and rebooting did you go to settings and turn Siri on?…also make sure you turn Siri off before uninstalling from Cydia…it will leave Siri dication on your keyboards and will still stay on your device when you hold down the home button

Update: It sounds like there might be more reasons to stay away from H1Siri than just instability. Developer Grant Paul, who was one of two people behind a port of Siri to the iPhone 4 and iPod touch in late October, believes that H1Siri is using a proxy server, and that any information that goes through Siri is being transmitted to a potentially insecure third party — this could inclue SMS messages, calendar entries, contacts, and even location data. Paul’s planning to release more info on his concerns with H1Siri soon.

Update 2: Grant Paul’s given us the whole scoop on how H1Siri works and why this insecure hack is likely not long for this world. According to Paul, Siri uses a cryptographic “token” that uniquely identifies an iPhone 4S. This token can’t be faked; it is generated daily from your iPhone 4S’ serial number. The H1Siri hack involves funneling Siri requests through a server and then adding a token from an iPhone 4S there. Due to this, all of your H1Siri requests and associated data are funneled through CD-Team’s servers. Since Apple issues these tokens, they can block it at any time and we wouldn’t be surprised for Apple to block H1Siri soon — even if they don’t, we’d advise readers to steer clear of this hack.

Don’t worry about it… It was a fail. After I did it everything worked except that I wasn’t able to create new NOTES in my NOTES App so it was a waist of time regardless. But of you must know, I extracted Siri0us.dylib and Siri0us.plist from the Siri0us.deb file placed it in the mobilesubstrate folder and set permissions… But as I said… It was a fail…. Trial and Error i guess…

If you guys are eager on thinking you have Siri on your iphone go into Cydia and Download/Buy Hands-Free Control. It allows you to say Siri..phone will respond with voice control app and it will respond in voice as well just downloaded going to try more

When I say Siri…the voice control app comes up on the iphone(even in sleep mode) and then i can use the voice control app as i would regulary. It may not be actual Siri or You are not able to set reminders or any Siri features. But when I say Siri.(or anything you want it to be) Phone responds “Yes” then you can tell it to make a phone call or start facetime etc…I would also say install Siri0us for Siri Dictation for texting,notes or any typing you would like to do by speaking into your Idevice.

Running Iphone 4 IOS 5.0.1 Both of these Cydia apps will not included anything on your springboard only In the settings.app

Since Apple’s Siri servers accept the command by generating a special key for iPhone 4S only, it is not possible for H1Siri to connect to the network without using those special keys, it works using some iPhone 4S hacked keys as proxy to H1SIRI but it is very simple to understand that a single iPhone 4S can not send more than 5-10 commands at a single time to Apple server, if it happens the Server automatically blacklist those iPhone 4S keys blocking your H1Siri access. Those who says upgrading/moving their servers are actually fooling people, because there is no such thing as server being used for this hack it is simply iPhone 4S keys hack being updated to work for you. These people are continuously hacking iPhone 4S keys and making them unusable. In all-cases, this h1siri is a failure and can not up but for a while (5-10) minutes to some users.

Those who are willing to use Siri should go for iPhone 4S or wait for few months when the Jailbreak for 4S is available till then Apple will indirectly allow other iOS Devices to use Siri through Jailbreak (unofficially) as we are enjoying other tweaks and features using Jailbreak.

One more thing to add; there is nothing illegal in Jailbreak because it is allowed by Apple in some extent to boost up their sales, although it is officially not recommended or not allowed by Apple but they are supporting it indirectly, otherwise they would loose the sale in multitude of their iOS device.

well downloaded siri took about 8 min when it prompted me to reboot i did, thats when my iphone froze on my wallpaper screen for about 10 min until i forced it to shutdown. now when i try to reboot with redsnow, im getting error messages. i also have semi tether and it wont boot that way either… i dont want to have to restore device with itunes… any help????

well if you read anything before you download you might have known the servers are done and out for the count. you cannot connect to the servers because they arent there. and you are selecting the correct ispw and hitting just boot? i have not installed semi tether at all. also what type of phone is it with what firmware?

out of the whole 14 hours how long have you been able to use siri?
someone on here earlier informed me that he heard people had to restore when it was deleted…but what i did(Twice) is just turned off Siri in general settings and then deleted..no restoration needed. but thats my device, hope the deletion does the same for you.
file deletes hell of a lot faster then downloading and worth it haha but keep source just in case of an update.

Unfortunately the 4S identifier that they used to get this hack to connect has been Blacklisted. This hack is never gonna work because apple can just keep Blacklisting the 4S identifier that they use. Might as well uninstall it since the only thing it will ever be is a GUI interface.

Well thinking about the demand…we are the ones that want the servers up soon. The devs are trying to save their asses, and are waiting for the right time to release a secure Siri that will actually work.
HiSiri was only 1 UDID of a 4S…imagine the thousands of people that were using that one unique key, Apple was like oh hey…that 1 UDID is sending out thousands of commands at once…ill just click this and click that and boom…UDID blocked.
Until there is a secure server, Patience!

In the beginning I got it to connect. It was connected for at least 30 mins., then it went down again! And since then I never got it! Just uninstall it’s pointless. The devz have released a tutorial on how to get Siri using your own udid number.

Hi guys! I have just installed H1Siri on my iPhone 4 in cydia. When the install was complete i was asked to reboot my iPhone. Now nothing happens, only the Apple logo lights up. Its been lighting for 10 mins now :s

and when you do the Just boot option…open cydia click manage sources and delete H1Siri it doesnt do anything. If you read at all you will see why.

Deosn’t work, and on top of that it isn’t compatible with Semitether. So if you try to reboot with SemiThether and H1siri installed it will just get stuck at the apple logo. I don’t recommend doing this.

I doesn’t matter! You cant get away from your iDevice from getting stuck on the logo. At first I tried to reboot after installing by after installation and it would be stuck on the logo, but if you connect your iPod to your computer and after its installed you turn off your device and follow redsn0ws instructions to boot tethered, and you will have Siri! But after that I had troubles connecting to the servers.

MY iPod 4g is running iOS 5.01 untethered jailbreak, and when it was done installing h1siri it got stuck on the apple logo. If it stays on the apple logo restart in “Just Boot” in red snow

Just hold the power and home button and plug it in while the screen is off DONT LET GO and then click next and follow the directions. it s a little tricky but it works. ive done this about 20 or 25 times now in the last 30minutes.

Hello. I just installed redsnow to jailbreak my phone. I was able to get into cydia. I downloaded winter board and now I cant access cydia, winter board or safari. Also, I wasn’t able to get passed step 4 above in order to get siri working.

Guys anything less then 5.1.1 will be tethered. Which means you have to boot your device with redsnOw the program you used to jailbreak your device. Once you boot up you can keep your device ON at all times to avoid the pain of rebooting. I am untethered but this is what to do with tethered devices.
