iFaith For Mac Download Imminent, First Screenshot Appears

by Ahmed Omar on August 31, 2011

iFaith, the popular tool for dumping SHSH blobs and storing it locally, is making it’s way to Mac OS X now. The developer of iFaith, known as iH8sn0w, has uploaded a screenshot on his Twitter account of the Windows version of iFaith running on Mac using VMWare.

iFaith For Mac

It looks like that iFaith for Mac OS X is almost ready and will be available for download anytime soon. iH8sn0w said that the Mac version is coming. It may be joke but we hope it’s getting soon.

iFaith will allow users to dump the SHSH of the current firmware on the device, even if Apple is not signing:

  • It dumps SHSH blobs
  • It can store the blobs locally and remotely
  • It can build the signed iOS firmwares.

Current iFaith version of Windows supports all iOS devices except the iPad 2 so the Mac version will support the same devices.

iH8sn0w is popular for his Sn0wbreeze tool which currently allows you to hacktivate iOS 5 beta without developer account and also jailbreak it. iH8sn0w only develops Windows tools but it looks like he’s paying some attention to Mac OS X.

Stay tuned on CydiaHelp as we’ll post download links and how-to guides once the tool is available for download. There’s no known ETA but we can say it’s coming out very soon.
