iPad 2 On iOS 5 Successfully Jailbroken (Video)

After showing a jailbroken iPhone 4S with Cydia installed, the iPhone Dev Team also showed a jailbroken iPad 2 running iOS 5. This time, the team shows a quick demo of the very preliminary iOS 5 jailbreak on iPad 2. Video after the break!

MuscleNerd previously confirmed that the iPhone 4S and iPad 2 will get the same jailbreak since they’re both sporting A5 chip. This means that both iPhone 4S and iPad 2 users will wait together.

Everything is good but MuscleNerd, again, says that there are lots of work to be done.

Lots of hurdles left, no ETAs.

    But it was done iPad 2 WiFi right?..wasn’t that different from iPad 2 3g+wifi?…if there’s no diff,that would be awesome guys..

    there is no difference between the iPad 2 wifi and 3g, the iPad/2 3g is already sim unlocked….

    the thing i don’t understand is, why weren’t they able to jailbreak it straight away… they had already jailbroken the iPad 2 before on the 4.(what ever firmware)….

    I think its due to ipsw 4.3.4 to 4.3.5 that changes everyting..Apple must have updated their security settings so that “hackers” will have tougher timer hacking to figure out..well its just my guess..

    It doesnt matter to me if this jb was tethred or untethred what matters to me does it work on the ipad 2 3G ? Cuz in the video they are using an ipad 2 WiFi ! Not 3G .. Hope it does cover them both. Anyway.. Thx guyz for the hard work (Y)

    Not necesarly, he didnt open settings so u could really see if its on 3g or not, u can get ure 3g ipad to show the ipad logo on the left top corner if u turn off the mobile data thingie in ure settings app.

    please at least release a beta version we are all impatient (ive tried to downgrade my wifi ipad 2 but after I select the firmware 4.3.4 it shows me an error, ive used tiny umbrella but I get error 1600, can someone please help me downgrade?)
