iOS 4.3 brought a new Multi-touch gestures to iPads but unfortuently that won’t last for a lot. In case you own the original iPad on iOS 4.3 and have gotten used to the Multi-touch gestures on it, it’s better not to update to iOS 5 since it will remove the ability of using these gestures.
Apple is set to release iOS 5 for public today (expected on 10:00 AM PT) to bring tons of new features on all iOS devices. With all these good news for iOS users, iPad 1 users should be sad now.
Apple actually didn’t allow anyone to use the Multi-touch gestures except its developers. the gestures offered four and five finger swipes and pinches that would allow switching between apps, opening the multitasking tray, and returning to the home screen. You may have enabled them thanks to some jailbreak tweaks or helpful guides but it’s going now for original iPad users.
iPad 2 users will continue using the Multi-touch gestures with the iOS 5 release today. iPad 1 users might get the Multi-touch gestures via jailbreak tweaks so you should wait a bit before updating.
