Pod2G Gets An iPhone 4S To Test His Untethered Jailbreak, Results Coming Soon

If you read our post few days earlier, we informed you that Pod2g has was nearing completion of the untethered jailbreak for iOS 5.0.1. But the testing was only confirmed on A4 devices. Luckily due to the donations he received, he has bought an iPhone 4S for testing his untethered jailbreak technique on A5 devices.

If things go according to his plan, he would be able to make some progress on jailbreaking the iPhone 4S this weekend. And if that happens, the iPad 2 jailbreak will arrive shortly after. We will keep you updated as soon as we hear anything.

    Big thanks to Pod2g, so don’t take this the wrong way, but……. if the untethered Jailbreak is already working on A4 processors, why not release it now. It would lead to more donations by making it available ASAP because more people would be grateful. (even though most of us already are, some people need to get something before they give). Anyway, like i said, Big thanks to POD2G!!!

They showed to iPad 2 and 4S jailbroken….but that’s the last we heard about it…and that was back at the end of October. Good to see someone has furthered the jailbreak mate! All the Dev Teams rule.     do not expect this jailbreak to be released before mid jan/early feb < that is a fact i have confirmed……… also u better also get used to these kinds of delays in the future, the jb scene is dying, its filled with clowns with gd intentions like musclenerd who aprt tweeting bullshit cannot produce any results, though i will add, the effort is appreciated, results or not

    this made me laugh, if that happened just 1$ per person would make the creator rich. but sadly 99% of people who use these jailbreaks are tight fucks who want to get paid apps for free, only about 1% have legitimate uses for jailbreaking. No prizes for guessing which percentage will donate.

    maybe is i should use my jailbroken iphone 4 and wait for the untethered jailbreak for the iphone 4s before i use it. can”t stand the ugly icons & homescreen. missing the sbs settings thing. it’s one of the best in the jailbreak. you can do a lot of things like beautifying you homescreen. why can”t apple think of that? please have the untethered jailbreak for 4s released sooner maybe xmas of before new year then that would be my gift. i may have to give up my iphone4s if i cannot jailbreak it.

    It would be nice to if you can shoot us a figure that Apple will pay you to stop this and work for them. Donation’s would top any pay they would give you. I would pay 1-5 a month to even keep my phone jailbroken.. I would still save around a 1000 or more a year in the apps I download and the little extra things my phone can do with Cydia.

    hey nutsacks dont take out your repressed mommy-issues on me, i talked to pod2g back in november on irc before he released that video, he had his exploit working on an iphone 4 ios5 even back then but he wont release before 5.1 and in the meantime he will work on 4s.

    this whole video-donate saga was just so he could get a 4s/ipad2 to work on and if you bitches get lucky it should all be done around this time next month.
