The wait is over folks. Finally the New iPad is here in our hands and boy, it’s a beauty! First thing you notice when you turn on the iPad is the new retina display. But enough of the chit chat, let’s get down to business.
We have gotten our hands on this 3rd generation iPad that Apple just launched today. After a long wait over night in line, it’s finally here and it’s better than ever. There are a quite a few things that have changed with the New iPad, so let’s go ahead and break them down for you.
All New Retina Display
The display on this thing is just gorgeous! The stock app icons look amazing, especially if you can compare them to the iPad 2. If you wanted to upgrade to the 3rd generation iPad from an iPad 2, don’t hesitate at all! It’s completely worth it, trust me. The screen size is still exactly the same as the other iPads, but it’s a little bit thicker than the iPad 2 since it sports the new retina display.
5 Megapixel iSight Camera
First of all, you need to check out our 1080p camera test. When you see that, you’d think the new camera is just as good as the new 8MP iPhone 4S camera. It’s very sharp and colors are extremely crisp! This camera can shoot 1080p HD video and high quality pictures. As for the front facing camera, it hasn’t changed as it’s still VGA quality for Facetiming.
All New A5X Chip
Apple has built a completely new and custom processor for the New iPad. Not only that, but it is a quad-core processor at that! This new processor is capable of 1GB of RAM which has been benchmark tested by professionals. Also, it handles graphics better than ever with the new quad-core A5X. We have a comparison between the iPad 2 and the New iPad showing speed results you should check out.
4G LTE Capability
The New iPad came out with a bang this year. Completely stacked with retina display, new processor, and better camera. But that wasn’t enough for Apple. They integrated 4G capabilities into the New iPad, just for you. Speeds will very between networks, but any 4G speed will be faster than the average home Wi-Fi connection. That’s a lot to brag about! The 4G iPad will cost you a bit more, but if you feel that’s enough for an upgrade, go for it!

There is so much to say about the New iPad, so hopefully we covered enough for you to make up your mind if you feel like you want to upgrade from the iPad 1 or iPad 2. These new features are definitely worth it. If you already have the New iPad, let us know how you like it and share you thoughts.
