thanks for the tip! If anyone is searching for corona 5.0.1 in Cydia and can’t seem to find it, make sure to refresh Cydia. I have no cyfresh installed and it took me a minute to realize I needed to refresh it lol.

Forgive me, but when everything works as it should … try to press home and sleep button together and wait for the apple show and then let both keys.

All I did was install Corona 5.0.1, then removed semi-tether then rebooted and everything worked perfectly.

Everything is working perfectly for me. Make sure to remove semi-tether if you had it installed then do a reboot.

No problems here…safari works..not seeing any of the problems listed below…FINALLY!! VZW iPhone 4 iOS 5.0.1. =)

Same here no gsm signal after corona or rejailbreak my phone, finally decide to do a full restore and restore from itunes backup and pkgbackup and works perfectly now!!!

Do you have access to the springboard if it yes, just clean all the files from that folder

Cydia and everything worked on my iPhone 4, but i seem to be having problems with apps that use the WiFi internet. Safari loads up and when i go on bookmarks click a link it loads up a page. The moment anything to do with the keyboard showing up like tapping the address bar, or typing in google search it crashes, this never happened before until untethered jailbreak. Anyone else have this issue?

I think that we have to wait few days for some working iphone delivery

Install Corona, uninstal iphonedelivery, restart your device. When it loads you will see that there is a signal. Now i stall iphonedelivery and you have bought things: untethered jailbreak and iphonedelivery.
IF your device lose power then you have to this again from beginning.
This works, i tried on few devices and it is the best sollution if you really need iphonedelivery. I guess that in a few days we’ll get some update on Corona or iphonedelivery.

Had sources issue… Resotred via itunes, after phone restored completly, right clicked redsnow, ran as administrator, shut off phone, clicked on jailbreak tab, followed the promps, once the completed and cydia was installed, went to cydia, search corona 5.0.1 untethered, installed and wala’ my iphone is up and running and I have mywi back on line… hope this helps…

John, I had the same issue… good news, i restored my iphone 4 with itunes then I went through the whole process again, right click redsnow, run administrator, make sure iphone is off, click jailbreak, follow promps, once cydia is installed, reboot iphone, open cydia, search corona 5.0.1 untether, install, reboot iphone then you can start adding your soruces… I just did mine took me a few tries but im up and running… Hope it works for you.

source issues are just because cydia is overloaded, give it awhile and it should resolve itself – for those of you who only have 1 bar for signal just install ultrasn0w when cydia is working and make sure you RESET network settings, after that it will take a minute or two to respring then you should have full signal again!

Everything works great other than Safari. It crashes as soon as it opens.

no its full of bugs. i know what i am doing, ahve submitted 100s of patches and addons for cydia apps. the jb is causing a lot of problems. sources on cydia are failed, cydia itself rarely loads to full.

Keving_mcroberts, you probably are still on a tethered jailbreak, make sure you installed Corona right. You have to use the latest redsn0w 0.9.9.10

Nope not tethered I had to update to 5.0.1 yesterday as I had never updated to it before.

my preferenceloader is gone after rejailbreak with redsn0w beta2 and install cydia option unchecked.
reinstalled preferenceloader didnt fix, remove/install preferenceloader didnt fix.
Cant any app tweak that uses preferenceloader

Everything seemed to have worked on my iphone 4 (no I didn’t bother with semi-tethered or tethered – just regular 5.0.1). Except iBooks and numerous other owned apps now crash instead of loading. This includes simple things like AP Mobile, etc. Tons of problems. I’m going to try to restore when I get home, but I dunno how it’ll make a difference since I was not using any mods whatsoever before this anyway.

Figured out how to get Cydia to work. All you have to do is go to packages, click on cydia installer and reinstall it. Let it load all the way and then close Cydia. Reopen Cydia and you can install all of your packages

I restored and started over, everything works like it should now.

i used the 5.0.1 untethered jailbreak and my safari was crashing.
uninstalling safari download mngr fixed it.

I jail broke, seemed to work fine, but after I installed mywi I get no Internet service on phone through 3G. I restored and. Jail broke again. Same problem. Also apps like iBooks and kindle don’t work. Any thoughts? The mywi is fine tho. Main problem is no Internet access on phone.

whoever has problem with “No Service”, you have to upgrade Mobile Substrate in Cydia and reinstall ultrasn0w (I’m not sure this is necessary but it can’t hurt) and the problem is solved.

Everything works great now. I had some problems with safari crashing after opening then realized I had two different ad blockers installed. Removed one and everything works great now. I jail broke over the tethered job using the latest redsnow.

hye, I have an Iphone 3G S and I updated to ios 5.0.1 and used the first jailbreak redsnow b1, the problem I have now, is that I don’t have any connection from my provider.. could this be caused by the fact that I upgraded my baseband? Because I have no connection at all. So I Wcan’t text, or call anyone. I can update to ios5 and jailbreak all I want and it works , but i never get any connection. My iPhone 4 with iOS 5.0.1 JB (redsn0w 0.9.10.b3) is working almost fine. Safari is crashing all time. I’ve done Restore and new JB, but everytime I install Installous, Safari stops work. Even if I uninstall Installous, Safari doesn´t return to work, I have to re-Restore to Safari returns to work. Suggestion?

My iPhone 4 had iOS 4.0.1 with modem firmware 1.59. I just updated to iOS 5.0.1 using Pwnage, modem firmware preserved and cydia and ultrasnow installed through Pwnage. iPhone started OK, but had two issues. Signal strength appeared to be low (just 1 bar where 5 bars should have been, not sure if was just a cosmetic issue or the signal reception was low also) and iBook crashing.
Everything else seemed to be working OK, haven’t tried the carrier unlock yet, but I expect ultrasnow will work it’s magic as it did with my previous iOS…

Reinstalled ultrasnow and rebooted iPhone, signal strength issue resolved ! however iBook still crashes. Personally I don’t care much about iBook, but it would be nice to get it to work properly !!

I still had the safari crash after reinstalling the jailbreak from redsn0w 0.9.10.b3.

to fix it I had to uninstall ADBlock.

I had to reinstall safari download manager, the uninstall safari download manager. when i reinstalled it, it also removed a second app i downloaded that was the real problem. then when i uninstalled it, my safari app worked fine.

just give it somrtime. sitit out for at least ten mins. it should progress definately.

I think you can connect your phone over the WIFI and do this… if not loss giving it a shot.

I had the same problem.
Just ignore the first step in the DFU mode process when using redsn0w.
Do the 2nd and 3rd steps though.
It worked for me.

it is because of lack of activating the imessage.
Go to settings, then down to imassage, turn it of, and on again.
then it will activate (it will ask you to log in to your itunes account), and the wifi problems will go away.

After the re-installation I no longer have the signal issue…

In addition I tried the carrier unlock with a european sim which worked fine !
