Re-vamped iPad 3 with Lightning doc connector and global LTE support coming on October 23

by nanopitech on October 21, 2012

Next week is full of events. October 29th is Google’s event, 25th October is Windows 8 and Microsoft Surface, and 23rd October is Apple’s Event. Apple’s event is all hyped up due to the iPad Mini. However, rumors suggest there may be more than just a iPad mini at the event. A re-vamped third generation iPad is likely to be launched. Read on for more details.

9to5Mac is the source of this news. According to them, some sources claimed the iPad 3 will be arriving with the new Lightning connector that was introduced with the sixth-generation iPhone. This connector has a better design compared to the previous one, and is a lot thinner. It has other great features that were missing in the previous connector.

Apart from this connector, 9to5Mac also states a possibility of a batter processor, touch screen display, global LTE support and even a larger battery of the third-generation iPad. The good thing is that the prices will be the same for the 16 GB Wi-Fi model at $499, with a $100 and $130 increase for higher storage and LTE respectively.

iMacs, new Mac Minis and a 13-inch Retina Macbooks are also going to be launched. It will be an exciting week ahead.
